Ouverture
"We are so few that we cannot afford the luxury of being uneducated."
Zoltán Kodály
Since 1958, Muzsika has been Hungary's leading classical music magazine. Its target audience is professional musicians and teachers, as well as demanding classical music lovers. Among its authors are almost all significant figures of Hungarian musicology and music criticism. In his high-quality and professionally grounded writings, it reports on musical public life and events, festivals, and academic sessions. It publishes thorough and analytical reviews of concerts, opera performances, music books and records. It publishes interviews with Hungarian and foreign composers and performers, and looks at the international music scene. Due to the financial crisis, the printed Muzsika was discontinued in 2018.
After three years of silence, the online version of Muzsika was launched in September 2022.
